Breaking Point: Ice and Methamphetamine (Hobart)

his Hobart, Tasmania workshop aims to address concerns about ice, methamphetamine, and are tailored for nurses and other health professionals. The conference aims to inform people about the evidence and the facts underpinning these drugs and the process of recovery from their use. Topics include: a personal story of addiction and recovery what effects do ice have on the body and the mind? safety when dealing with people on ice managing withdrawal and recovery moving from denial to action - practical advice to tailor interventions how to support families and communities affected by ice. There is a registration fee. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points may apply.

Train It Forward: A FASD Masterclass

This event will train delegates to be the 'go to' person in their organisation for information regarding Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. After completing this masterclass, delegates will be accredited by NOFASD Australia to deliver training within their own workplaces, and communities to enable a better quality of life for those with lived experience of FASD.
